Yeah....We're in Colombia....

We have arrived! Safely! Oh so wicked tired!

We got to the airport safely this morning. Much thanks to Steve and Maria Frey for taking us to the airport this morning. Andrea and I sat down to our last Carolina meal for awhile (BBQ...yum). She said "I really like the fries"...I was like "Yeah, me too...they are delicious". She then replied..."No Steve and Maria."

The rest of the day was filled with delays (sat for 1.5 hours on the runway in Charlotte), but we finally arrived in Bogota about 2.5 hours later than expected.

All of our contacts were waiting for us, and we were overjoyed to see the "EISENBERGER" sign.

We are on a general computer here...but hope to get wireless in Pereira, and post photos as quickly as we can. I wore a special shirt today as a shout out to the Derrs.

We are hoping to site see a bit tomorrow, and just enjoy our mini-vacation. We fly out on Tuesday, and will meet our boys on Wednesday.

Thanks to everyone who has a played a part in this, and for those who are reading and following along. It means SO MUCH that you are sharing in this journey with us.

Much love,
Troy and Andrea

The Calm...er....Storm before the Storm.

Just a quick note as we come up for air....

So, we travel in 8 days. Still no visas, still waiting on documents from Raleigh (the Observer doesn't lie...they really do hate Charlotte), still trying to finish the boys' room. At some point I'm going to put the 73rd coat of paint on the room. Going from lavender to orange requires a primer, Andrea and I disagreed, and I of course was wrong.

There is constant movement; constant action in the house. It's like a season of 24; only more violent.

People keep asking me if I'm excited, and I've said I really don't have time to be excited. There is an overwhelming joy of knowing all of this is leading to the moment we meet our sons, but the stress and panic of details like the visa situation, and tying up our respective jobs, is hanging heavy on both our hearts.

Thanks so much to family members who have helped overwhelmingly with donations. We are stunned and overjoyed to feel so loved.

It feels like we are in a raging sea right now, and I know things will certainly be no calmer when are with the boys...but by then, we'll be with the boys, ya know? But for now, were getting tossed around like the boat in The Perfect Storm, but that movie ended up okay right?.....Right?

With one big leap of faith...

...we are "officially" kicking off of our fundraising efforts. This is an extremely scary process. Troy and I are very self-reliant and would much rather pay for everything ourselves than have to ask anyone for anything. The reality of our adoption, however, is that we simply can't afford the entire cost on our own. It is a very humbling situation to be in for two particular reasons: 1) it is a true test of our faith in God's provision and 2) we are put in the awkward position of having to ask our family and friends to help us "pay" for our children (so to speak).

Skeptics may ask why we are attempting to adopt without having the entire cost already saved up. Our answer is simple, we believe that we are doing what we are meant to do at the exact moment we are meant to do it. When we made the switch from pursuing our children medically to pursuing our children through adoption, we did so with A LOT of prayer. There is no doubt in our hearts or minds that we have been specifically called to adopt...three siblings...from Colombia...right now.

Over the next few days, some of you will receive packets in the mail that contain a letter and some other information. We ask that you prayerfully consider what your role - if any - in our adoption may be. Some of you who are able may want to donate a monetary gift. Some of you who are true prayer warriors may know how and what to pray for us. Please know that however you feel you can help is truly of great help to us. The most important thing we hope you will get out of this post is that we don't want you to feel obligated. We also want to assure our faithful readers that the posts from here on out will not be solely about fundraising (thought updates will be given!)

If anyone is interested in receiving a packet of information on our fundraising efforts or if you have any questions, please send one of us an email. I am working on how to get all of the information up on our blog. And though this is a scary time for us, it is also extremly exciting. We have been waiting months to start this process and are so joyful to be entering this phase of the adoption.

Love,
Andrea (andrealwe@yahoo.com) and
Troy (taeisenberger@yahoo.com)
